My LFS got some gars

I went to my LFS yesterday in SOcal. They got these gars. There listed as florida gars. But they look different from other gars I seen. There snout is short and wide. Not as long as my friend's florida gar or spoted gar. Right now there about 3-4 inches. If I had the space I would get one. Take a look what do you guys think.

They look like Florida Gar to me.

Those are Atractosteus spatula and I see Cali fish and game still suck at enforcing their laws.

BTW.....You do not have the space for this fish
