Feel bad this guy is awesome. Big and alot of color with a huge mouth. Hope somebody gets him soon. If near south jersey, come and get him, he is a beauty !!! and some kind of jade goby (not sure). They are about 7-9" and look like they just sit there and pretty much do nothing. Any info on either of these.

I know there is no such thing as a fresh water red snapper, it might be a mangrove jack or maybe a red bay snook.

I do not believe it is a snook. Something else I am sure...you are probably correct. I have never heard of it either. it is a beautiful fish. I am going to take a pic of it tomorrow and post it. Its an awesome fish...looks like it can be nasty though. I wonder what else it could be. Its kinda red-spotted.

Most likely a Mangrove Jack. They actually are brackish water fish, and can grow to over 24". And they are super aggressive, and pretty much need to be kept alone.
