I went to my LFS today to pick up some blackworms and Ghost Shrimp, when I was waiting for my items I spotted a new fish in their pond. A 18-20" I believe black arowana and two 12" oscars. They also have a 2' RTC (it was hiding at the time) and some other various monsters I wasn't able to get good looks at.

The guy was pretty cool when I asked to snap a pic of him. He was returned by a customer who could not take care of him anymore.

I am a regular so I have somewhat of a relationship with the staff at the store. They are really great people.

o baby I wish I had an lfs like this near me all I have is two petsmarts and two petcos all with in a 10 mile radius or so.

Very nice! I wonder if they cover it at night to keep him from jumping out?

Ill get a full pic next time I go in, wish I had thought of that when I was there *facepalm*

I normally get there about once a week when I am on my way home from University (I commute)

The water level is about 12" from the top of the pond with a 6-8" overhang of wood trim. Would that be sufficient to keep him from jumping?

Awesome store. Only real place in the area. Just dropped my CK off to add to that pond....lil worried about the RTC looking at him as snack. But he may be in a solitary tank for the time being. I drive up from Atlantic City all the time.

BTW, did you see the big barb following the aro?

That I did Lol, and when did you drop off your CK? I was up there around 7PM today and I saw a nice looking one in a tank with a couple smaller ones.

he is in the aisle on top by himself. And a tank or two down from him is a tank with two smaller ones. Next to the big nasty parrot.
