My life as a fisherman - depression can sometimes be found within.

The winter is a terrible, long cold time for me. The summer? Well I don't get out much because of family responsibilities, lack of a boat and work.

My one true passion tends to be mostly an exercise in my head or on TV.

Sorry, just feeling blue today as I approach my 40th birthday.

I got cabin fever and have been ice fishing ponds around my house this winter. Nothing big so far, mostly 10" bass, but it's something. :-) Trying a new pond tomorrow....looking for bubba.

Could be worse, I'm going through a depressed stage and i'm only 20 lol

I can feel you.I am now over 40 but it is not bad,its all in your mind.I fish 12-15 hours a day as many days as i can in a week.I start around march and fish until i can't take the cold around december. This has been a terribly snowy season for my area and i am feeling blue as well looking out my windo at 10 foot snow mounds:{.

Depression is not seasonal ,it is a state of mind /it can hit you no matter what the environment or your pleasures are ,we all dwell in it at times,,We are most often responsible for the way we feel . somehow, somewhere we planted the seed, in those instances when we cannot retrace our steps it is surely time to question our maker ,it could just be his way to bring us closer to him .... Stay Strong
