My lighting..

Alright I have a 70 gallon tank and I more recently bought a package of
2 compact florescence they are Daylight 6500K lights 100 watt equiv
and put out 1600 lumens each.

I am wondering if these lights will work to grow algae and to help my

Vallisneria Cabomba Anacharis

Yeah was just wondering due to them not being actual aquarium or fish lights
they are General Purpose but they had the specs that I've read about the 6500k Daylight and I went for the higher wattage I was thinking about building a hood to house 4 of them as I currently do not have one just yet and getting more plants this should work fine correct?
