was surfing the net the other morning while having my coffee..heard water splashing in the tank and saw this li'l guy in the aro's mouth i quickly ran to the tank and as soon as the aro saw me he let go...

the aro is around 16-17" and the dat is 4-5"..you can see in the photo the out line of the aro's mouth.

it's been a week now and the dat is nearly all heal up and eating again but he's really cautious of the aro!

So you have it back in there with the Aro?

:wall:

yep the dat is in the same tank..have had it in the same tank for about 6-7 months without any probelms..maybe not a clever idea on my behalf but hey i'am willing to take the risk..the aro has grown a bit since 6 months ago!!

Yeah not the greatest idea. If your planning on keeping them together make sure you give that dat a place to go and hide if the aro trys to eat him again. That would be such a waste it that happenned plus the dat may kill your aro if it gets stuck in the aros throat or who knows it my pop some organs in the aro if it makes it down that far. Dats do pack them nice sharp spikes on their backs. So either keep that aro fed really well or give that dat a hiding spot or do both. Glad to hear hes healing up by the way.

Glad to hear u saved it..That aro is just going to keep getting bigger and the dat is gonna grow a lot slower..U might want to think about seperating them, if u want them to live happily..
Good luck..
