Ok so first off I'm kinda new to these forums and don't have a lot of experiences caring for Cichla. I however have had SA chiclids my whole life. So I have a 55 gallon grow out tank with 2 little Cichla one is around an inch and a half and the other is and inch. I got them both the same size(around 3/4 inch) for my LFS. Everything has been going fine, I have been feeding them guppies which I have breed. Now the problem.... The big guy.. well the bigger guy has been attacking the smaller one, and the smaller one just takes it. Doesn't try to swim away or anything. I see no visible damage on either fish. Should I be worried? I have a small breeding box, should I put the little one in there for now? Would adding dither fish help?

P.S. I have a 157 gallon tank for them to later go in, but there is a 6 inch JD in there at the moment. So they need to grow a little till I would feel confident putting them in there.

Those are definitely orinos. As for aggression, adding a third cichla would be best. When it comes to cichla, its best to keep them in odd numbers.
Having said that, I have two together and don't have any problems.

Nice pickups, but keep that water at 86+, there sensitive at that size.......

bass will establish a pecking order. Its what they do so a lil fighting is expected
