Finaly got some pics of my natives. Comments are welcome good and bad. If you can ID them please not too sure on the sunfish not sure if any are hybrids or not since they are so young.
Thanks, CJ

I'm no expert but they appear to be Green sunfish. Good luck they can be a handful

The bass is a LM, but I figure you know that one. The sunfish are definately greens. Those guys have tons of personality, and eat like pigs. Enjoy!

The largest is definatly a green sunfish. You can tell by the blue lines under the eyes and the large mouth, there have features of sunfish and a bass. And bass are actually a type of sunfish as well. Green sunfish are the most aggressive sunfish and eat a lot but are also one of the smaller, only reaching about 8" or so.
Nice tank setup buy the way, I like the drift wood.

I used to keep a Juvy native tank I'd go open the mino trap and populate my tank. 1 year later release and replace. Keeping them at full size is not as much fun as watching them grow year after year. I'd keep Green sunfish, northern pike, Bullhead rock bass, Large mouths. Lots of fun at feeding time ^_^

You should decorate the tank with drift wood instead of the plastic stuff. Go to the forest preserve pick up lighter colored wood, bake it, and power wash it, to remove bark, rot and parasites(order isn't really that important). Should be good to go and would look way cooler.

I love Green Sunfish. I had about 15 of them in a koi pond I converted to a native pond. The females grow a lot faster and bigger than males so you should be able to tell the sex in a few months.
