my lizard cage

i built this about 8 months ago. as a practice for my plywood aquarium....sorta. so tell me what you think!

the front and part of the top is steel mesh.

the top is half screen half glass lid.

the substrate is indoor/outdoor green grass carpet. on sale $1.00 sqft

i almost forgot...demensions are 40" long 20" wide and 24" tall!!!

yes...i had the lizard about 4 months before i built this, he outgrew his 15 gallon terrarium, so he got a huge upgrade!

looks cool, but could the screening cause "cage nose"?
I like to use the fine plastic coated screen

not so far, he looks at me sometimes but other than that he just likes to climb on it.

It looks real nice i wish i had the time to make one for my water dragons. Just be careful with the carpet i had a lizard get its toe caught in it and it was not fun at all holding it still keeping it from biting me and get it out all at the same time.
