My Lungfish Collection

Beautiful collection of AUL but it looks like you're experiencing the common issue of raising young AUL together; nipped fins. Fortunately it looks like only the tail fins have been attacked but these fish do get very aggressive with each other if they perceive there is not enough food (more important) and space (slightly less important depending on size of the fish & tank dimensions) when young and in captivity.

IME my AULs don't bother each other when they are either fed 3x daily or when I place enough live food (~20 Neocaridina shrimps lasts about 3-4 days at their current size) when I go on extended leave for work. Snails also work instead of shrimp but I only use live food because I have expereienced a major malfunction once using an auto feeder so I stay away from those now. Still, I've heard that even as adults some AUL just have very individualistic personalities (e.g. Methuselah from the CA Academy of Science) and do not tolerate other AULs. Thus I wish you the best on keeping those 4 and hopefully they calm down as they age.

Thanks for sharing your experience! That photo is from a couple weeks after I received them. I’ve had this group together for about 2 years now and I’ve only experienced fin nipping between the AULs on two occasions (immediately after a tank upgrade and when one laid on top of the food). They have been incredibly docile and are more likely to get bullied by their tank mates (bichirs and a couple cichlids) than each other. However, I’d be the first to admit this is very abnormal and I do keep a close eye on them to watch for any fin nipping.

Please see updated photos below, all AULs are between 14-16”

Nice growth on those AUL.

At that size I wouldn't worry too much about your AULs turning on each other because of territory but food is always a constant threat factor for them. Their slow eating behaviors makes it difficult to spot feed them in a non-solo tank but it looks like you aren't having that issue at all so far.
