Thanks. Biggest is the spinibarbus @ 24"+. A few putitora are at 15".

Here's a bit of trivia> Does anyone know why in India anglers tie the mahseer to shore when caught, then releases it later?

Answer: They believe releasing it too soon will ruin the fishing for the day. Caught fish will inform others. Believe it...or not?.

I know that smaller cyprinids (eg phoxinus phonixus) realease hormones into the water that warn other fish. Doubt something as huge as a mahseer would do that, though.
