So i got a male and a female convict yesterday both about 3in. there in a 125 with 4GTs 1 cory 2 spotted pims and 1 birchir and a FH. well today i saw that hes claimed his territory. theres a 90 degree bent piece of pvc, a glass cup and a fake plant clustered in a corner of my 125 and hes pretty much claimed the pvc and the glass. he leaves the cats alone that hang out around the pipe but he chases everything else around and out of there. the female hangs out close by but not to close. its really interesting to see him flare and chase off the GTS and FH. the pipe is upright with one upen end facing the front of the tank and the other facing upwards towards the top. theres a little bit of sand in there so hes working on cleaning it out as we speak. once he does clean it out, how long before i could be expecting eggs?

I took my breeding pair out my 125........The pair kept chasing my bigger fish......Right now, I have a male Albino Con in there......I have raised him since a fry and he is 4 inches........One of the largest Nuchal humps I have ever seen on a male.......If it were me, i would keep convict cichlids in their own tanks, preferably a 55g.........
i would love to if i could but infortunately i live in a 1 bedroom apartment and my GF said i can only have 1 tank, so naturally i chose the biggest on ive got..... she didnt know i had it otherwise she probably would have said only 1 tank and it has to be under 55.
