my male jag 11"+

Here's a recent shot of my male. I picked him up 2 years ago at 4", and cannot for the life of me get a good shot. Here goes:

Another year or 2 and he should be Nothing beats growing out a fish like this from such a small size.

For comparision, here he was 2 years ago:

1 year ago (8"): (note the big change in fins since then)

yeah i had a jag that i grew out to 14" from 1". very rewarding but very depressing when it dies from something so stupid as a power outage.

I agree. I had a 13" Jag that died from an awful eye infection after my 6" convict bit it out.

Me too. There was a tread recently where a lot of people were saying a Mota looks better than a Jag. IMO, once their pattern spreads out at maturity, an adult male Jag is better looking than a Mota.

^^^ Anyday man anyday, Jaguar is by far my favorite type of cichlid and I still miss mine. First cichlid I ever got and loved were...you guessed it, Jaguars! The patterns and the whitish tint to their color is awesome!
