hi all i have been tossing ideas around in my head about how i do my monster tank in teh spring
we own the vacant lot next to our house and are going to be doing a monster garage with a back half year round greenhouse so i can work on my old cars as well as have a killer tank here are the three ideas im thinking of
1-i dig a pond 17' wide 10-12' long and at least 4 - 6 ' deep instant year round killer pond the hole will only cost me 1 grand to have dug cost for garage all in is doable
2-i build it above ground same dimensions but only 3 high a lot more cost involved due to materials needed
3-i find a junker house gut the basement and redo the main floor as a viewing area with the entire basement converted to a monster tank there are some houses that can be got for like 25k and as a jack of all trades the demo would be easy and sealing a basement not so difficult
people think im nuts but aint that what this whole mfk thing is about just goin with your dreams despite what naysayers think
one thing that the city has recently allowed people to do is geo thermal and artisan add to this solar and the costs for this whole thing go down
another way my wife an i have been talking to do this is to get a rural property within half hour or hour of regina and there we go worth the commute i say
whats even cooler is the sask assoc of rural municpalities will actually source a town who will sell you a building for 1 dollar provided you develope their infrastructure imagine the tourist attraction i could do with a school or hockey rink etc.....
there is nothing like it in saskatchewan add to it the whole foodservice catering aspect
