my mbuna fry is growing very slowly

i have cobalt blue and kenyi fry since more than 2 months. now they are about 2.5 cm long. is this growth rate normal ?
i had yellow lab fry before but they grew faster.
fry tank 30 Liters housing 20 fry
gutter filter ( mechanical & biological filtration )
water change 50% weekly
food tetrafin and shrimps 3 times daily - no live food.

Put them into a bigger tank.

That tank is a bit small for them. Sure they can swim around, but with the amount your feeding them, nitrates will go up fast. Either new tank or do DAILY water-changes (as I do with my fry).

Step up the waterchanges.And if you can,live baby brine shrimp.

I would say between 1-2 inches (Your at 1 inch now, so your on the lower end; I've had some grow almost an inch a month; lots of feeding, lots of water changes).
