Put them in the same tank not really thinking about it. Woke up this morn. and the salvini is guarding eggs:WHOA: and the midas is swimming around her. Anyway just wanted to know if these two can cross? If so has anyone here done it before? what do you think the offsrping would look like? etc. I am kinda glad, I wanted to cross them, but kinda figured I would have to use convicts to transfer some genes of each on over a few generations to get what I wanted. Anyway any help would be great, -thanks

Hmm, interesting. Im not sure if they can breed but I would suspect they can. I would love to see the outcome if it works.

Anyone else have an opinion on if it will work?..stuck at work for a few more hours so I cant check on them..probly will find out when I get home if all the eggs are gone / white and fuzzy..

it will work seen a texas and salvini just depends on the parenting good luck

My buddy has a female devil x salvani...Looking at it faded with just faint under the skin trace marks uunder the orange/red!!! Amazing looking fish nice size to work with at 7 inches. This red is natural as well, no color enhancing food! I almost was to do this cross just to get one myself.

Hope this helps you out there @ MFK!:arapaimag
