Very much south..
Colors in the body are brighter too...I can see a greater contrast between the orange and black.
 
He is beautifull. Completely different than whe i got him.

In one month i expect him to be awesome :)

I have never kept Midas, do they fade/peel? or is this a mutation of some sort?

Yes they fade/peel they are born as little ugly gray babies and fade to orange, white creamsicle and piebald and a mix of either if your lucky. My old friend miguel here has lucked out and found and adult that never lost some of its black on the orange which is hard to find. You can have a good indication in what the fry will fade into if you look at parents :)

So the midas guy's want to see the black and the RT folks do not?

Just trying to figure out what blood my fish might have to make it fade.peel.

Its not a midas but I can see some traits that might be.
