my mom's BoxerPit, my cat, and my 125 again

i live in a two family house. my parents on top floor...me and my girl(almost lol) on the bottom. my mom got the dog after our boxer died of kidney failure.

it came from a rescue in tennessee found in a ditch and then brought up north.

its a great dog with the family but extremely dog aggressive. its a good mix because it has nice sized teeth. pure boxers tend to have small worn out-looking teeth. hopefully being a mix, it will be healthier too as boxers are very cancer- prone and other risks as well. we lost a boxer before the previous due ot multiple cancers of liver, kidney, and spleen at the age of 5. the previous boxer died at 7-9ish (rescue was unsure of exact age) from kidney failure.

the cat my girl gave me. it came from a crappy petstore in yonkers. (she didnt know the problem with buying from stores like that which you "rescue" one only to be replaced by another). but a good deed none the less.
i will let him outside once he has gotten all his shots, neutered...and a collar with tags and a bell. i have been getting him aquantined with the yard vs harness and leash so he knows it is his territory.


and thats my centra/sa cichlid and knife tank with a few others. 9 african knives shoal together in there. there used to be 10 but i had to put a channel cat in there for a few weeks and it ate one =\.

nice dog looks really healthy, sorry not much for cats, and the fish tank is awesome. do you have any more shots of it and its inhabitants?

that was my last boxer Bandit. he was a beast. he hated all dogs even females. he was also a fear biter. he had 3 homes prior to us, a pound, then rescue in Queens. he had seasonal alopecia, hence the bald patterns...but nice looking dog none the less.

the first week i had him...i was walking him down the street next to a fenced in yard and a german shepard comes out of no where barking...well Bandit lunged for him and bit the chain-linked fence and latched on. it was nuts..


the crazy thing is the rescue lady didnt tell my mom of his issues...she only said he needs to go to an experienced boxer lover. the lady herself was dying of cancer and just wanted to find homes for her remaining dogs.

he had a couple of incidenents later on but nothing major. he almost got into a few brawls with pitbulls though (they always seem to be off leash around here for some reason?)

ps im not a pit hater at all, im just an unresponsible dog owner hater. (17 y/o "thugs" with there pits really annoy me.)
