haha mine did a similar thing, but he did it during feeding, i could feel the thump he made! My one took off part of his nostrils, it will all grow back.

I have an aquaclear 110 and a bubble stone that's all I just keep up with water changes. And minimal feeding. And I wish the fish would have grabbed the cat by its face to atleast make it worth the fishes while lol. I added a bit of salt to help with the healing
