That is one awesome looking cichlid!

I'm considering keeping one of these guys with a pair of sajicas. Too peaceful or will his size deter aggression?

They're supposed to be relatively peaceful... If they're big enough nothing will challenge them and they can't be bothered to chase smaller cichlids.

I'm considering keeping one of these guys with a pair of sajicas. Too peaceful or will his size deter aggression?

Mine was pretty mellow. For a short while he was tank mates with a pair of Convicts. They kept him away from their cloud of dry but they didn't hurt him. He'd stare them down if he was in the mood but for the most part he ignored them.

That was not a long term thing. Can't say how it would have worked out if it was ongoing.
