My "Crown of Thorns" decided to hang around on the glass while he ate his dinner (market shrimp). I was able to get a couple of shots of him eating and thought I would share...enjoy.

I tried to get a close up of the digestion but for some reason my camera kept focusing on the lionfish in the background.

Any questions/comments would be appreciated.

No, definitely not...that's why I had to have him.:D

I'll try to get some pics of the top-side...very intimidating for an invert.

Sweet, more pictures please?

does it move nonstop?

I'll definitely try to get some more pics...I've been having technical difficulties with my SD card.

He's always in a different place when I go in that room. He tends to "bear hug" the filter intakes, but he knows when it's feeding time and he goes up to his corner and stretches his arms back to accept food. It's both cool and kind of creepy. :D

so i guess you dont have any corals in your tank bro :P they are a huge pest on the great barrier reef in Australia :P we have 1000010000000404000 more if you would like to take them all?

hehe

Nope...Fish only...lol.

Yeah, I did know that. They really are quite a problem in your area of the world. I was amazed when I saw some footage of how destructive they can be to a reef system.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a big part of the problem also because how quickly the conch is being harvested for their shells...limiting the number of predators associated with the Crown of Thorns?

Yikes that would make for a great science fiction movie.

No kidding, right. My girlfriend says she likes him in the tank, but you can tell she's not a huge fan of him...lol.
