A few months ago I got the chance to try pairing up a male and female wild caught Boulengerochromis Microlepis. They both came close to 20" and have killed their respective "mates" at the previous owner.
They were kept in separate tanks and since they are not small I got myself a risky deal ...but sweetened with the thought of keeping some wicked monsters and the 400gal acrylic I just had setup (8'x3'x25").
