I got up this morning, and looked into the 240 to a shocker. My 10" endli was at the top of the tank stuck to the overflow. I turned the light on for closer observation and didn't see any respiration. My heart skipped a beat. I tapped on the top of the tank, nothing. I went and rinsed my arm off to pull him out, and inspected everyone else and no signs of ill health. Pulled the top off and reached in and grabbed him and he just swam away! Da*n he gave me a scare. He ate and is sleeping now.
:nilly:

HAHAHA My ropes love to hang out in the overflow screen. They actually raise the water level in the tank from blocking so much water going down the overflow.
I understand the feeling. I inspect every tank every morning too.

Yup, my Ropes do this too.

I actually stopped buying rosie feeders because they would slip through my overflow into my sump.

HaHaHA, lazy bichirs. I had a platinum sen in my african cichlid tank that used to block my overflows. Definitely scared me a few times. My endlies don't seem to mind sitting on the tank bottom and won't even use the rockledge, shallow water shelf I made for them.

The other morning I woke and I could tell my ray seemed like something was under his. Though was what fish is he eating!! He moves back a little and i could see half the body of the fish sure enough a fish on it's side probably having it's tail snacked on. But the ray just slid off him and went on his way. Fish was just sleeping on the bottom and got ran over. Lol. Was really funny after the fact.
