My Motoro female ate out of my hand lastnight! I was so excited! I know many of you have done this for a long time but i was so happy!!!!

How do you guys do it? I'm always a little worried that she'll tail whip me. My tank is also 24" high.

Some advice on technique would be greatly appreciated. Of course I understand there are inherent risks and will have to exercise caution. Just want to see how you guys do it.

Stick arm in tank. Hold food out. Don't move and let ray come to you. Ray eats out of your hand. Good game.

I have only trusted 3 of the many rays I have kept enough to hand feed. I would stick a night crawler between my fingers and rest the back of my hand on the bottom palm up. Be still and if the ray wants the worm then they will take it. The key is to be still. Sometimes the ray will dart off when they touch you, at that point, it is hard not to jerk your arm out of the tank. That only spooks the rays and gets your wall soaked LOL!

It can be especially scary when they drift over you or swim along your arm and their barb drags against your skin. It doesn't hurt, but it is not hard to imagine that the ray could easily make it so. :WHOA:
