Seeing that Clown Loaches are real popular, I'll add my most recent expeirence with these awesome guys. I have 3 clowns that used to live with an Oscar. The Oscar always left them alone as they all "grew up" together. The loaches would actually steal pellets from him. Well, the Oscar died and I got the loaches some algae wafers. I tried the wafers before, but the Oscar would always swallow them before the clowns got to them. Not that they are alone, they really go to town on these wafers. The 3 of them will sit there and fight over a wafer for minutes-its awesome! I can actually here them chomping on the wafers! These guys never cease to amaze me!

They're about 4 inches or so. My Oscar was 10" inches and he loved them....never attacked them.

They really are quite amazing fish, and I wish I had more room to have lots of them.

my 10" O ate all three of my 3" clowns:(

How old are they?

I would try to get them 2 or 3 more companions. I'm not sure what size aquarium you have them in but a 75 gallon would be OK for a small group of 5-7 clown loaches till reached 6-8 inches.

It might be best to wait until you can get them a larger aquarium.
