I have 9 pumpkinseeds in various sizes, the largest ones being around 5-6", in my tank along with a florida gar that's about 10" now.
They get along great, but the only problem is that the largest pumpkinseeds have started to eat the feeders intended for the gar.

When spring and summer comes I'll go to a lake that has black bullhead and pumpkinseeds in it and try to catch some new fish for the 370 gallon tank I'm building.

Nice looking tank and inhabitants. I once caught a bass as a kid and kept him in my aquarium. Unformunately he didnt make the trip home. Again, nice looking fishes, keep us updated with more pictures.

great fish
full tank shot?

thats a pretty sweet tank....i'm working on dollar sunnys at the moment just waiting to work it in the budget

Fantastic looking Pumpkinseeds....if you keep them well fed on other things the gar wont eat (redworms,crickets,scuds)...you can sneak in some feeders for the gar. Floating plants will also help the minnows hide from the Sunfish.

That tank looks really nice. As mentioned a full tank shot would be awesome

The pumpkinseeds are about to spawn. The males have dug some pits and are very aggressive towards each other (me included) and they are courting my 2 big females. Today a pair of them started to "dance" around but I spooked them as I approached the tank.
Anyhoo...made a little video, never mind the little red dot ;)
