I picked this guy up the other day along with a Red devil cichlid. The other tank mates are a couple of danios and swordtails. He's about 16" long and has really unique markings for a common.

Nice pleco!! There were some in the tank with my 10" oscar when I got him. They were about the same size as that one and had similar markings

Ya there's nothing really unique about the patterning, I've seen it many times before, but still a cool fish.

How big of a tank is it in?

That does not look like a common to me either.

I'm starting to change my mind to a P. gibbiceps also... a stressed one

I don't know what that is. My pleco seems happy and does what he/she should be doing: Rasping half a cuke or summer squash every day, swimming and munching microbes off the plastic plants in the tank, ignoring the Red Devil cichlid tankmate that thinks it could own the tank (Pleco is not fooled, he/she knows that that Cichlid's clock would be cleaned with one swipe) and enjoying perfect water from her Eheim canister filter. She's a very mellow fish with perfect water and cool markings.
