This is my new 180g. Not all the driftwood in yet and I have to make a decision about the line loc nozzles. The anubias dried up and wilted quite a bit because I underestimated how long it would take to get the tank up and running but they are coming back ok.

A little too much flow but I don't want to turn the pump down. I have the big single outlets on there now, would it add head height to the pump if I put on twin diffusers like such:

I've tried to get a picture of what's on there atm, but you can't see it because the back is black too. It has a DC12000 pump running at full. I wanted more open flow because Clowns like to play in the stream but I don't think my Oscar is too fond of it.

Stocking for now is 1 Oscar, 1 EBJD, 7 4-5" Clown Loaches and my albino bristlenose pleco "Spike" who has been with me since I started a few years back. After allowing a couple weeks for the cycle to fully establish I'll add another 12 or so 5-7" Clowns and a RTS. I would like to put my BGK in there but I've heard cichlids can't help nipping on them.

I doubt it adds head loss but it will distribute the same flow over a larger area so it will seem like there is less flow

I use a few loclines as well and the same out nozzle. They also have different end attachment that you can experiment with. I think having the two like you show will also give you some flexibility with flow direction.

DC12000, is that a Jebao or Waveline? I have the Waveline, and at full throttle, that's very high flow.

It's a jebao, I have the same pump on a 125 but can only run it at half speed. The eshopps sump I bought for it just won't flow that much. I was kind of surprised at the flow difference, I did put the splitters in and while it's still fairly strong, it isn't throwing the fish around anymore.

When I set up my 125 it was my first sump and really didn't research flow or return styles so it's just straight durso returns into a crappy prefab sump. Sooner or later I'll get up the gumption to redo the plumbing and make it a herbie with an open 55g sump.

Thanks everyone!
