Well just over the past week I switched over my 55 gallon salt to a fresh. I loved my salt but it feel apart all last year while I was away at school, but my parents can handle the fresh. The water is still a bit tinted from the drift wood I added, but I think its starting to look pretty good. So far in it is an angel, green phantom pleco, and some great danios. I plan to keep it peaceful by getting some more plecos and angels in there. Sorry for no full straight forward shots, the tank is in a narrow hallway so I can't back up enough to get a wide enough shot.

How do you like the pics by the way, took them with my iPhone? :naughty:

Nice tank. Interesting substrate.
Thanks, I got 2 bags of the large 22lbs river rocks, one black and one white and just mixed them. I figure it matches with the wood, which both emphasize the plants.

Does anyone know if I should get one of those Co2 diffusers for the plants, just one of the "Hagen CO2 Natural Plant Systems"? They are pretty cheap so I figure I might get one.

personally i dont like the substrate, i would have gone with ether all black or a natural looking color. and hide the heater behind a piece of driftwood or put in the sump. the driftwood/plants look good. and i love that pleco.

Great coloration on that L200! If you are ever looking to find him a home, let me know! I have dibs!

You don't need the co2 for those plants either. If you chose to add them, just do a reaction co2 system. Use the search function on DIY co2.

nice... it all looks very clean.. keep it up ;)

im not a big fan of the substrate....you may like it. i think the white ones look like big eggs... but whatever you like is what you should get. I am not a big fan of saltwater either so high five on switching it to freshwater
