These just arrived yesterday from South America to my supplier here in the Denver area. They got 5 in and I got first pick which rarely happens, I obviously snagged up the two best ones out of the bunch as the others were washed out looking with little color and broken / light lines. These two though stood out from the others and showed the most defined stripes and markings. Color is super blue, although you can’t really see true color in these pics because of the lighting in this tank. I currently have them in a 50gal quarantine tank now away from my other Cichlas not only to watch for parasites & diseases but to fatten up as well. As with most wild caught Cichlas there pretty skinny and in need of a good power feeding with vitamin packed feeders, once fattened up I’ll train them to eat cut baits and pellets.
It’s always exciting when you get new Cichlas!!

I'll have them fattened up in no time and into the 240gal where the lighting is much better and I can take some killer photo's and add an update to this thread.
