Hey MFK, I havent been on here in a while, due to the military and have upgraded from my old 55g to a 75g. Just set it up last week and bought some new CA/SA. Right now i have 3 Firemouths, 3 Jags, 3 JDs, 4 Convicts, 2 Tex, GT and a Sal. They are all from 1/2" - 1 1/2". I know it seems overstocked but they are all still small and I am currently just growing them to see if I can't get a couple pairs. I will post pics of the tank in the morning. I am trying to get pics of the fish but they just aren't camera friendly. But once again welcome MFK and am glad to be back in the hobby.

Welcome back and im glad your happy to be back in the hobby.

It will be nice to see some pics when you manage to get some, it will be good seeing them grow on abit and as you said hopefully get a couple of pairs from it.

Even though it might have been better if you got more of one ie 6 of one instead of 3 to stand a better chance of getting a couple of pairs etc.

Good luck.

Thanks Darren.

Uhhhh that's a lot of fish that will def kill each other. I don't want to be mean, but that's going to b a disaster soon

firstly the cons will win the pairing race, not too sure if 75 is enough for a pair of jags (jd's could work i guess), but good luck. if you want alot of fish you could keep the medium sized cichlids (firemouth, salvinis, cons)and let nature take its course. the larger ones you have to keep only the pair in a 75. The females may have a rough time based on your male's temperament. pretty sure a jag pair needs 100 minimum.

Yea... Pure killing machines in there.

My texas and firemouth paired up in my 125g ... Almost killed my other 2 fish (jd and jag). When they pair...they go nuts.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree about it being a lot in one tank but I am going to let it go and see who turns out. I know that 75 is not enough for a pair of Jags. They are all still rather small tho so i am looking into getting another tank. I have been trying to upload but it keeps saying failed... I hope this works soon.
