My new additions JD and Texas

Hey all

Just a couple of pics of my two new pick ups a Male JD at 6 inches and a Texas (I think she's a female) at 5 inches.
What type of texas do you think it may be and can some one confirm that it is a female.

its a regular carpintis, not escondido, not certain of the sex

Yeah, carpintas is a female, has a black blotch on her dorsal fin, I've also seen texasXjacks before, so they will possibly breed.

Yeah they seem to be displaying to each other even now in the qt tank.
Only another week and they can head into my new 7x3x2 tank with the others.

I thought she was a female so it's great to have it confirmed.

yeah just confirming the female carpintis, and a nice one at that. you can tell by the black spot on the dorsal.
