So I have a problem: I can't resist altum angelfish. Unfortunately I have had no luck getting my last 2 orders through quarantine, but after dosing these with seachem polyguard and paraguard I finally have 2 stable adults! They won't take flakes yet (spit em out), but they take any frozen food I give them. The two spend all of their time together with no aggression, so hopefully they'll pair up! Sorry for the dirty glass.

Looking great.

I got them through my saltwater LFS. The owner orders whatever I want from Segrest Farms, then I just pick them up when they arrive, in the bag they were shipped in. He charges me a very small markup since he has no risk of loss. They were a steal at $22 a piece and 4-5" long! Quarantine is up to me though, and the altums are noticeably more delicate than captive bred angels and discus. Segrest ran out of them 2 weeks ago, but they do have leopoldis this week. Quite affordable too!

$22 at 4"-5" ?! Jeez. I so wish I come across a deal like that one day. Good luck and have fun with those Angels.

Thanks! I wish more LFS would sell fish like my guy does. It's pure profit for them. However, I can understand that if they have good quarantine procedures it might be more worth it to put it in the store and charge the markup. I imagine my saltwater store does it to take the business away from stores that sell both fresh and saltwater stuff.

Gorgeous pair!

Altums are on my bucketlist
