So yeah I was thinking a stock list of 3 rtc, 3 tsn, 3 nigers, 3 adonis plecs, couple pimas, a few jaus, 5 marbles(since they are smaller), and about 500 goldfish to feed them! Tank is 30 gals. Let me know what you think!!!

I've already cleaned out all the hideous blue rocks, and cleaned the tank and accessories. Looks pretty darn good for a 20 year old acrylic tank. just need to make a stand for it and get adequate filtration.

With that kind of stock list you should go ahead and throw at least a few arrowanas and a TSN or two in there! ;-) 👍 lol

You, better than none of us, know the options, Necro.

Just keep us posted.

Hats off to see the positive way you are startingto cross the desert....keep up the spirit!

Thanks guys. Well around here my options are, another sickly ID shark from walmart, a blackfin shark(which needs brackish water over time to thrive), a sickly pictus from walmart, a cory from the lfs, a pleco, or well that's pretty much all the catfish available around here lol. I really want to use it as a grow out for some more limas (my favorite medium sized catfish). Starting them in this tank and eventually transferring them to the 100 gal would be sweet. There's no synos around here or I would get a few to live permanent in this tank. Lol, so for now I guess I am gonna use it as a Q-tank for some guppies and goldfish to feed to my suncats and ID shark. lol. I have never seen suncats eat live so a few week in quarantine, and getting them fattened up, gut loading then putting them in with the suncats to make a cool vid of them chowing down on them lol.

I could go the lima route, but last time I had fish airport to airport I was 100 miles in a different town from here. I'd have to travel back to where I use to live in great falls in order to do it. So that would require 1 tank of gas at about 80 bucks, then a plane ticket for the cats, about 80 bucks again, then to make it worth while 4 limas at about $10 bucks each. So I would need around $200 to get 4 limas lol. $50 per lima.....hmmmmm. Be worth it in the long run but that's a ton of money for what I have right now.

I would start by taking the medication in the pill boxes. Just a suggestion. But personally, I would reduce the number of marbles by one and increase the rtc count to 5 instead of 3. I think that would make a beautiful mess. However, I urge you to commence consuming the daily dose of prescribed meds prior to anything.

hmm, not my meds, but I'll give it a shot!!! lol, I work with mentally disabled adults. The guy that lives next to one of my guys gave me this tank. Hey if I get them small enough I can house like 10 1" rtc, then just feed them one pellet each once per week! That way they will stay 1" forever!!! This tank is 30" wide so might as well get a juru for it . Sure it won't be able to turn around when it's full grow, but so what. lol. Glad everyone has a light hearted approach to this. Looking around MFK since I've been back I was starting to think that everyone had turned into flamers on here. So I'm gonna go plan out some proper filtration to raise a S. glanis or something in this tank lol. 30 gal with a 1000 gal sump filter sound about right?

I was just kidding! Figuring your a "Mod" kinda figured they were juvies. Have fun. Heres an idea just for fun you should try adding a marine clown fish just for the heck of it, or not. It actually sounds like a very bad idea. Good Luck with your cat tank!
