should be fine but try to put them together in a early stage so they can get use to each other sooner...

they may co-exitst but watch for battles as they share the same tank area. as said above put them together as early as possible.

I saw the fish you bought as a Rocket Gar in your other thread, its definitely a Florida / Spotted Gar. I would grow it up for a while before you introduce it to the tank with your Arowana, as the Gar looks quite small from the pictures, <12cm I'm guessing. Feed the Gar up for a month, and it will be large enough to introduce.

hi guys thanks for the replys the gar is 3.5 inch and getting in the neck from the wife as her neons are going missin lol and blames the gar so had to put him in allready with arow and others how can i get him of of live food and eat with the others

if its a rocket gar (ctenolucius hujeta),then no.
the aro will out grow and eat it.
hujetas also seem to like nipping silver fish.
but if its a fl/spotted gar.
then all should be fine.
