my new aro

just got an aro.like 20 bucks.
he was in with a ton of small oscars.
they nipped him a bit.
how long till his fins heal?or does it look normal?
he is already tearing up the guppys.
will get more/better pics when he settles in.
oh and what type is he?

my local animart just got me a 6 1/2" silver for $35-$40 going to go get it this weekend.

Keep the water clean and keep up a good variety of foods in there and he should heal quickly.

Back in the day, I used to crush up some vitamin B complex pills and add them to the water until it turns a little yellow. Some crusty old Discus keeper told me about this to help heal damaged fins.

It seemed to work but if you use carbon in your filter it will suck it out.

It will heal very quickly. I bet the fins are starting to fuse as we speak . Aros are so cute when that small, then they turn into monsters. Looks like a silver to me as well.

Looks like a Silver. They grow up so fast. I started with a 2.5" about 2 months ago. It's now pushing 8"

No worries. It will recover fast and look brand new afte that. Just feed him properly and when it'll look better.

he is eating feeders and ghost shrimp,and i stuff my feeders with brines and bloodworms.
if hes a silver,why does he have all the other colors?will they go away then?
