Hi guys, I'm new here. I recently bought an arowana. It's certified as Super Red from Kalimantan (Indonesia) . The size is 25cm. I'm placing it in a 200 cm x 60 x 60 with 3 red parrots. What I need to know are:

1. What type of super red Arowana is this? Chili or blood?
2. Is this arowana good? Genetic wise, body shape, and color?
3. How much would you have paid for this?
4. Is 25 cm too early for tanning?
5. Is tanning needed to maximize the color? Or arowana could reach its maximum color without any tanning over long periods of time

Thanks in advance

Any comment, critics, tips and tricks are welcomed

Very pretty aro, looks unique.

What's wrote on the certificate? Just super red?

Any super red in the UK is £1000+ upwards of £1500 from specialist

Will start colouring up at 17-18"

you are from indonesia ?
it doesnt matter if it blood / chili red as long you got real super red
IMO certificate also doesnt mean anything ... and its easy and cheap to get a counterfeit a certificate esp. in indonesia
but as long you get your aro from widely known reputable fish store/supplier or directly from a farm then you got nothing to worry

its subjective the need to tan a red ... you can tan right now , just depends on the fish attitude/behavior

Fish looks great!

For me I would start tanning only at 13+ inches or rather skip tanning and let it naturally develop.
If the quality of the genes is there, I believe that the colour will come out when it matures (4 years +) even without tanning regime.
