well, my dad wanted a flat boat, before we had a 73 bonita tri haul with a 1972 Evenrude 70hp(today the way they rate motors is changed so its really a 60hp)so we searched on craigs list, lord be hold, 22 flat includeing 3ft fan tail that goes all the way around the motor $600 far away
i was at school, so he went up with a buddy of ours and got it, well it was 600 for a reason all the ribs are cracked and its a shell, has one hole bout 2 inches in diameter. Im not complaining first it was so cheap and second its a son and father project!!!!
oh and we recently picked up a bass boat (wooden) with a 90hp on it, when we put it on our bonita, full packed down 4 big guys 2 ice check, nearly sinking 36 mph, thats impressive by my standard, plus the people we got the bonita from, left it out in rain, so its water logged 30 yro gotta be close to 3000 pounds, motors good, only need to replace a coil whats that like $40
