Dropped by the LFS today to find an unusual batch of Asian Arowanas. The strain is called a "Golden Red" arowana, and is a crossbreed between an Indo Red and a Red Tail Golden. I thought it was quite interesting, and the intensity of the shine is quite noticable compared to an RTG. So I thought, what the heck, lets see what it would look like as it grows. It has a few sparkles of shine on its 5th row already, so worst case scenario Id get an RTG or HBRTG. The price was also around that of an RTG.
Anyways, time will tell, here is a picture of this cutie. Just barely 4" and is already eating Hikari Food Sticks and small pieces of shrimp. Cheers =)
