Just picked him up the other day. He's about 12" and will be going in an outdoor pond shortly. Now I'm just hoping he won't destroy my TSN that will be going in the same pond. They're about the same size, but if the ARTC gets too aggressive I'll have to split them, which will probably mean getting rid of one. Fingers crossed.

He's a beauty though. I think I'm gonna call him Gus.

He's only been in my tank for two days and right now he only seems to come out when the lights are out. My TSN did the same thing and now swims around like crazy, so I'm hoping the Asian becomes more active. Have you seen any signs of aggression? So far I've only seen him bump into the other fish, no real signs of wanting to eat them.
 
he is aggressive at times but not really wanting to eat any other fish! He hand feeds already and eats anything but sadly is forsale
 
how much did he cost ya? im looking into getting one
 
The LFS wanted $80 for him. They also wanted $80 for the silver aro I bought. They were offering a buy one freshwater fish, get one free deal. I asked if I could do it on more expensive bigger fish and they said could, so I got both of them for $80. Probably a little pricey as I've found post on here of people giving them away after I did a few searches, but I figured its still reasonable. I paid $30 for my TSN at around 10" and I see tiny RTC's listed for $20 all the time, so figuring he's about 12" it didn't seem so bad.
 
$40 a fish not to bad...since they got some size...one lfs has TSNs for $25 @ all sizes and i got my 3 @ 3" for $12, but i haven't seen ARTCs here though RTCs start at $25-30 and go up around here
