My new awesome picks ups.

Today i went out to my LFS and they had a 5x2x2 with about 20 young jags between 2-4" and i asked if he could pick me out young female, as i don't have the space for a pair yet. so I just got the female? It does look like one though. I also got a Nuce 4" Feaste cichlid, he was in a tank of convicts and had gone a grey colour with thick black bars, and i got him home and he went a great red colour. They are going in my CA cichlids tank.

Thanks mate, the jag has a really nice bluey sheen to the body, looks awesome. I don't think that he's a feaste any more, but i still think he's great and they were a bargain at £5 for the two.

Congrats on your new Jag. I can't tell if it's male or female but kinda looks male. The other is definitely a Uropthalmus. Both are cool though, nice pickup.

Thanks everybody, i;m gonna get some more picture tonight when it's darker so theres no glare. The Mayan was very agressive in the tank he's still quite skitish but hes only been in the tank for around 4 hours. The Jag looks awesome, it has some really nice blue tint to it and a little red on the belly. I''m gonna get a few more soon and get a pair, when i move some fish out of my 48x30x24.

The "aggressiveness" is an understatement.

They are very aggressive, indeed! I'm surprised more people don't post about that, on here.
