My new Babies! 2 Arowana

HI There

Im getting 2 Arowana's in a few weeks time, once my 250 Gallon is mature enough!
Just have a few questions, ive been doing a lot of reading on the subject, but wondering what you lot who have them think,

Firstly Tank setup? what substrate to use? and what decor works best?

The Arowana's are a silver who is 17" and a Jardini who is 16", both have been brought up together and get on well! they are in the tank with a Clown Knife fish and a Red tail cat cross, they will be only travelling 30 mins down the road to me ( cant wait )

Anyway any help would be great, oh and what do you all feed urs on?

ask the current owner what food he has them on would be a good start .. judge according to that.

Your tank is not a 250g. In my opinion 24" width is rather narrow for a full grown silver. You tank will do fine for a few years though.

Edit: your tank is 250 U.K. gallons or 300 U.S gallons

Aiyaaa, I just noticed. It's so confusing now. As if people read them before, now they're going to open it and just stop reading cuz its so long...

Yeah i know ill have to upgrade, planning a 9 foot x 36"x30" high custom built tank in the next year or so!
