my new baby catfish

[ITHURTZ]

He is about 2.5-2.75" long. I have him in my 18gal hex tank. He is lonely so I was wondering if I could put some minnows in there for his company and for him to eat? I got him from petsmart and they said he would be fine in the tank I have and only gets 5-6" and will eat fish.
