although he is arguably too big for my current tank....he was in a tank that had a footprint of a 55g but half the height. it was horrible. hes healing up nicely and eating fresh market shrimp and sushi grade tuna, lol.
for size reference, the jin kang flowerhorn is a fullgrown femake
im thinking of doing the cow trough thing though.....


he gulps up an 8/12 shrimp like its nothing.

I had one that got 30". Very personable. One of my favorites of all time.

it eats like there is no tomorrow. it even goes after small cichlid pellets sucking them from the surface with a bunch of air. i dont know how i am supposed to feed my other fish lol..

That is all I fed mine.
Bulk pond pellets do well too. And easier on the wallet!

Try feeding a sinking food, wait til the catfish is going after it, then feed a floating food. that's what I have to do with my channel, and he's only 13".
