got it a few weeks ago, and looks cery healthy.
wicked little guy.

it was listed as a c.bleheri, but notice it has pelvic fins.
i'm thinking gachua?

thanks in advance.

i'm gonna say thats a female bleheri

From the lack of patterning I would say C. gachua, if it had angled dark markings I would guess C. punctata.

do a check on channa assam. i own it too , send your pics to www.snakehead.org to the webmaster, he will be very helpful.

How big now??... could possibly be channa assam? Or maybe channa gachua, but from different region? :uhoh: Buddy of mine had a gachua "Sri Lanka" pair... they are more smaller in size,,, compared to common gachua, and have abit more color to them than reg. gachuasl??

Your best bet would be to send pics to snakeheads.org and have them verify sp. for you. GL!

That's 100% a gachua. You can differentiate from sp. "assam" by the larger, longer tail and also the lack of red markings on the body (female assam have red on the body) and less blue in the fins (male assam have very blue fins)
Here's a couple of pics, top one is an awful shot of my gachua, below is one of my male sp. "assam".
