My new Clown Knife

I hope that i didnt make a mistake,i mean i am happy that i bought a new Clown Knife,but i bought him from Wal-Mart.I have heard so many bad stories about fish from Wal-Mart,but he was in a tank with 6-7 Oscars half his size.He was laying on his side,i felt bad for him and bought him.He is about an inch and a half,i got him last nite,and he is already eating tiny pellets(for wich i am very happy!!!)He has "flashed"(scratched) a few times,what can or should i use for medication as i really like this guy and want to save him.Any help is greatly appreciated

I bought a 1" knifefish from a poor managed fish store about a 1 1/2 years ago, when I got rid of it in October it was 16". That was a big mistake getting rid of it, I was given $20 for it, when I went back to the store it was for sale for $80. I am considering between another one or an aworana.

My started with pellets but eventually took only large feeder fish, holding up to 5 in it's mouth at one time. It wouldn't allow my Gar to get any, I had to overfeed him in order for the Gar to get one.

I have bought a few fish at wal-mart, they seem to do pretty good for me. i have never bought anything like a knifefish though.

congrats on the new clown knife, they are awesome fish

don't use any meds yet, just put some salt and keep the water clean and the scratches would heal up on their own... use meds only if its necessary
