I picked up 9 C. Frontosa "burundi" today for 50 bucks, it was a steal.

They are only 2-3" right now in a 55g to grow out for the 265. Its going to be a full species tank and I figured I would show pics of the colony.

Sorry I forgot to wipe the glass before I took the pics :irked:

9 for $50??? Holly crap. :nilly:At my local ps they're around $20.00 for a small, and 35.00 for a medium. And thats for 1 only. Heck of a score!

The big guys you have are cool! Great color. Congrats to you for sure.:headbang2

Thank you thank you

I got them off my buddy that has a few breeding pair, he had to get them out of a 20L cause he had another bunch of fry he needed to move into that tank, originally he wanted 10 bucks a fry but he talked me into the whole lot for 50 bucks, I was really happy. Today and tomorrow I'm going to be redoing the rockscaping in my tanks to make the fronts more comfortable, can't wait to move the little guys into the big tank.

that is gonna make one beautiful colony!!
a steal for a beautiful group.

they are gonna be great once they get acclimated and used to their new home.
makes me want some!!!!!

are they feeding yet?

Thats just awesome. I paid 40.00 for mine and thought that was a steal... LOL I couldn't house 9 of them though.

When its all done and finished I'll have a colony of 13 in my 265, along with the silver aro thats in there.

And yes they are feeding, nls all the way

Real nice group of burundi . I also have burundi , 7 of them and 11 mpimbwe. I think yours are showing signs of having nice blue color development when they get bigger. Great pick up.

Thanks, Ive seen the parents of this group, they actually do have beautiful blues for burundi. Its a really good strain of burundi actually, I'm going to snap some higher quality pictures soon to show the blue they developed already.

yea dude sweet fish i just have a couple questions can they go with polys and how many can go in a 125 gallon?

I have a 8" Dominant with a 8" P. Senegalus with no problems. And in a 125 you can do a colony of probably 8-10 till they get 6-8"
