Thanks!! 100% freshwater. They come from the Congo river in Africa. They are actually like a chameleon and change color to their settings. This guy just housed 2 comet feeders in about 5 seconds. They burrow in the sand too. I haven't seen mine do it yet though..

Congrats! I've been waiting quite some time for a red one. If you add darker sand/decor, he won't look so pale.

Also, please do not feed feeders to this fish, unless you want to shorten his life a great deal, with fatty liver disease & more! I lost a Pignose to this (the previous owner was feeding it feeders, not me).
