Yes, it looks like a thinbar dat, Datnioides undecimradiatus. I'd recommend 3 or more dats to minimize any potential aggression between two dats. That should make it more active. Either that or it's very depressed about your Mets.

Mine is about the same size. He is somewhat shy but has colored up really nicely. I want to add some fish when I am confident he is comfortable.

my 2 got comfy in 2 days. still not lap runners but they not as shy on comin out.

Looks like he find a nice duck off to chill in.
