I picked up a 10 inch female dovii yesterday. I know these are very aggressive cichlids. It was in a tank full of other fish. My question is can I put it in with my 17 inch Silver Aro, 17 and 20 in clown knife, 10 inch RTC. I have seen other videos on here where dovii's are living in a community tank with other fish.

I'll post some pics later, my camera is at work

Depends on the temperament of the Dovii.

Looking forward to seeing pics.

a female would be fine with them until the rtc eats her ass, females get to 15"--- rtcs- 4'+. aggression won't be an issue later on- do to the adult size diffference, and they should be fine right now-- and female dovii are as psychotic as males, what size is the aquarium?

yea what size gallon is the tank? You should have something bigger than a 240 gallon to keep all of those guys together.....the silver arowana will attain about 3' but with many years..and for the RTC that dude getting to 4' WOW you must need basically a pond for a monster catfish like that. And a female dovii needs atleast a 180 gallon tank to herself or with careful tankmates....and 240 for males. The clown knifes get about 36" so better have something big for them....soon.I had these guys before together too but i had them in a 12,000 gallon tank that was build in Canada in my Grandparents home.I had many others with them.....i had 4x3' RTC,3x30" Silver Arowana,1 Pair of Managuense which both were about 12",Dovii pair of 13"ers...,5x34" Clownknifes...,6x27" Black Pacus,5x24" Red Bellied Pacus. And 3x5' Arapaima gigas. This was a huge aquarium project that the community had decided was a great idea to show the young children how great fishes are and how big they can get.Its a way to eduacate them in a large environment.

looking forward to those pics...!

I'd be a tad worried about the Dovii having a go at the aro. I s'pose in a large enough environment, everything should prevail.
